Selecting long-haul behaviour on shipments in Opter Driver
Applies to Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android version 2.4.24 and later.
In this Price item
By default, both the detail view (1) and the menu (2) are opened if the driver long-taps on a shipment in the shipment list. The menu then covers part of the detail view, see image below.
If you want the driver to see the detail view before selecting any action in the menu, set the Mobile data settings OpenMenuOnLongClickFromShipmentlist to "False". This means that the behaviour in the app will be the same whether the driver long-taps or just taps on a shipment in the shipment list, i.e. the detail view opens.
Instructions for drivers are available at Pages, tabs and menus in Opter Driver.
Proceed as follows
Select the behaviour for long distance shipments in the shipment list in Opter Driver, by doing the following
-
In Opter, click on Settings > Mobile data > Settings mobile data.
-
If OpenMenuOnLongClickFromShipmentlist is not already in the list, click on an empty row in the Name column, then click on the down arrow of the row being added.
Select OpenMenuOnLongClickFromShipmentlist from the list. (If the Mobile data settings are not in the list, you can manually enter the name of the Mobile data settings).
-
Enter one of the following in the cell to the right:
-
"True" (default) = If the driver long-taps on a shipment in the shipment list, both the detail view and the menu will open. The menu then covers part of the detail view, see image above.
-
"False" = If the driver long-presses on a shipment in the shipment list, the detail view opens. (This is the same behaviour as when the driver presses (short) on a shipment in the shipment list).
Select "False" if it is important for the driver to see the detail view before moving on and selecting an option from the menu.
-
-
Click on Save.
Drivers who are logged into Opter Driver when the changes are saved in Opter will need to log out and then log back into the app to get the new behaviour.
