Chatting or calling dispatch from Opter Driver for iOS

On the chat page of Opter Driver, drivers can write messages to the dispatcher. The messages from the drivers are displayed in the Messages window of dispatch. When you double-click the message row in dispatch, the Driver messages window opens and you can see the full message and reply to it. Once you have typed your reply and clicked on the Reply button, the message will be sent to the driver and displayed on the chat page in Opter Driver.

To allow drivers to call dispatch by tapping a button on the chat page in Opter Driver, enter the telephone number of dispatch in the office settings.

Adding the telephone number for dispatch

  1. In Opter, click on Settings > Offices and the Dispatching tab.

  2. In the Contact Information box, enter the telephone number, including the country code for dispatch, in the Telephone number field. For example “+46707328676”.

  3. Click on to save all changes.

When there is a telephone number for dispatch, the handset button in Opter Driver is green. If no telephone number has been entered, the button is grey.
