Customising the layout and features of Opter Driver
It is possible to configure the lists and views in Opter Driver to show exactly the information required, and to define what drivers can do in the app. Most settings are configured in the mobile data settings and in the Design field for mobile window or in an XML file (App.OpterDriver.Design or App.Design).

-
We recommend using the Design field for mobile window, as it is easier than editing the XML file App.OpterDriver.Design. In addition, if there are updates that support new fields, these new fields only need to be moved from Excluded to Included in the Design field for mobile window for them to appear in the app.
-
To have your own layout in Opter Driver, you need to use App.OpterDriver.Design or App.Design.
-
To use different designs for certain customers, certain services and/or certain price vehicle types, use App.OpterDriver.Design. For more information, see App.OpterDriver.Design.
It is possible to customise the information that is displayed in Opter Driver as follows:
-
Design field for mobile
For more information, see Configuring which fields are displayed in Opter Driver for iOS and Design field for mobile (window).
-
App.OpterDriver.Design.
For more information, see App.OpterDriver.Design.
-
App.Design.
For more information, see App.Design.
Here is how to choose whether to use Design field for mobile, App.OpterDriver.Design or App.Design:

Depending on which Opter Driver apps your drivers use:
-
Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android
The easiest way is to use Design field for mobile, but it is also possible to use App.OpterDriver.Design or App.Design. (Use the App.ForceOldDesign mobile data setting to choose whether Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android should follow App.Design or App.OpterDriver.Design/Design field for mobile window).
We recommend using the Design field for mobile window to set the fields to be displayed on the shipment page, in the detail view, and on the proof of delivery signature page, scan page and scan details page in Opter Driver for iOS.
-
In Opter Driver for Android (classic)
You have to use App.Design.

To set up the fields and columns that are displayed, change the names of fields and columns, set the width of the columns, choose colours and font sizes, etc.
Depending on which Opter Driver apps your drivers use:
-
Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android
Use App.OpterDriver.Design or App.Design. To obtain access to all the functions, use App.OpterDriver.Design. (Use the App.ForceOldDesign mobile data setting to choose whether Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android should follow App.Design or App.OpterDriver.Design).
-
In Opter Driver for Android (classic)
You have to use App.Design.

On the scan page (in the scan list), package information such as weight, volume, pallet space, package type and type of goods can be displayed. It is possible to set which information should be displayed for each package on the order. For more information, see Customising the scan list in Opter Driver for iOS.

It is possible to choose which fields to display and the order in which they are displayed, and to rename them.
The mobile data settings are used to customise the views and most of the mobile data settings affect Opter Driver for iOS, Opter Driver Labs for Android and Opter Driver for Android (classic) in the same way, but there are slight differences. If a setting works differently in the different apps, information about this is available in Mobile data settings (window).
