Alarm message when scanning

Applies to Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android version 2.4.24 and later. Applies to all versions of Opter Driver (classic) for Android.

If there is any important information that anyone dealing with the package needs to know, you can enter a message on the package in the Alert message column in the Packages section of the Order reception.

If there is an alarm message on a package, it will be displayed every time someone scans the package throughout the life cycle of the order.

The alarm message is displayed when scanning with:

  • Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android in version 2.4.24 and later.

  • Opter Driver (classic) for Android.

  • Opter Terminal.

Add the column Alert message

If the Alert message column does not appear in the Packages section of the Order reception, please do the following

  1. Click on Settings > Order reception > Order settings and select the configuration you want to change from the list on the left.

  2. Click on the Control tab.

  3. In the box Control settings, click on or at the drop-down menu Packages. The Package settings window opens.

  4. Select the configuration you want to change from the list on the left, and click on the tab Columns.

  5. Double-click on Alert message in the Excluded column to move Alert message to the Included column.

  6. In the column Included, drag and drop Alert message where you want it.

    For example, if you want it to appear on the far left of all columns in the Packages section of the Order reception, then drag and drop Alert message onto the top of the Included column.

  7. Click on to save all changes.

Adding an alert message

If you want to add an alarm message to be displayed in the apps at each scan, follow these steps:

  1. Enter the message in the Alert message column in the Packages section of the Order reception.

  2. Save the order.

    The alert message will appear every time someone scans the cheque throughout the life cycle of the order.

Delete the alarm message

If there is an alarm message on a parcel, and you no longer want it to appear when scanning, delete the message from the parcel in the Alert message column in the Packages section of the Order reception and save the order.
