Attachments in orders

Orders in Opter can have attachments much like an email message. Attachments can be, for example:

  • customs documents and email messages added in order reception

  • scanned freight bills automatically retrieved from a folder on a computer

  • pictures of deviations taken by drivers with their mobile cameras

  • files that a customer adds to an order on the customer web.

It is only possible to attach MSG, PDF, BMP, JPG, GIF, PNG and TIF files.

If you drag and drop emails from Outlook into order reception, they are saved in Opter as MSG files. If the email contains attachments, they are saved as separate files, and a wide range of file formats are allowed for these files. For more information, see Attaching files in order reception .

Preparation

Define how the attachments are to be stored in the system, see Setting the way attachments are stored.
