In this window you configure menu items and functions of Opter Driver and Opter Terminal. Most of these settings you will never have to fill in a value for. These settings are counted as having the "default" value in the lists below.

Parts of the window

Function

Description

Filtreerimiseks tippige siia

Free text field to filter the list of settings. May be useful if a lot of settings have been configured.

Nimi

Name of the settings for which an active setting has been configured.

Väärtus

The value that has been entered for the setting. Entered manually. It is usually “True” or “False”, but may also be a name or a port number, for example.

The Muuda button opens another window where you make the actual settings. In most cases an XML editor (for example for App.Design). The button on the empty row at the bottom adds a new row.

Kirjeldus

Some settings do not have a description yet. May also include a link to the help.

Salvesta

Saves the changes in the window. The changes are not saved automatically.

Sulge

Closes the window without saving the changes.

Add and remove settings

How to add a setting:

  1. Click on an empty row in the Nimi column.

  2. Click the down arrow on the row and select a setting from the list, or start typing the name of the setting.

    (If the Mobile data settings are not in the list, you can manually enter the name of the Mobile data settings).

  3. Enter the value for the setting in the Väärtus column. It is usually 'true' or 'false', but for some settings it can be, for example, a number, a name or a port number.

  4. Click on Salvesta.

    If you have made the settings in another window, for example in the XML editor of App.Design, you still need to save them in this window.

How to delete a setting:

  1. Click on the field to the left of the Nimi column to select the row. It may be necessary to increase the row height in order to select the row.

  2. Press Delete on the keyboard.

  3. Click on Salvesta.

General settings

If no value is filled in for a setting, the setting indicated as the default applies.

Name

AddImagePermission

AddImageOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android.

Shows/hides the menu item Add image in the detail view.

  • ”True” (default): the option is displayed.

  • “False”: the option is not displayed.

With AddImageOrder you specify where on the menu Lisa pilt should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

AddNewDamagePermission

Not valid if DamagesPermission is set to "False".

  • ”True” (default): the driver can add new deviations to shipments in Opter Driver.

    By clicking on Deviations in the details view, drivers can both view existing deviations and add new deviations. Drivers can also add new deviations in the POD view.

  • “False”: the driver cannot add new deviations.

    By clicking on Deviations in the detail view, drivers can see existing deviations, but cannot add new deviations. The Deviations menu option is only displayed if there are deviations on the shipment.

AddNewPackagePermission

Control whether drivers can add new parcels to the order. It is done in the detail view.

  • ”True” (default): Drivers can change existing and add new packages to the order.

  • “False”: Drivers cannot add new packages, but they can change existing packages.

AddNewPriceItemPermission

Choose whether drivers should be able to add new Price items to the order.

  • ”True” (default): The drivers can add new items to shipments in the POD view (only in Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android) and via the menu in the detail view.

  • “False”: The drivers cannot add new price items, either in the POD view or via the menu in the detail view.

If ArticlesPermission is set to "False", it is not possible to add Price items to Opter Driver regardless of the setting for AddNewPriceItemPermission.

AddPackageByScanningPermission

AddPackageByScanningOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Applies to all versions of Opter Driver (classic) for Android. Applies to Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android version 2.4.25 and later.

Shows/hides the menu item Lisage pakkeüksus skannimise teel in the detail view:

  • “True”: packages can be added to orders by scanning with Opter Driver.

  • ”False” (default): packages cannot be added to orders by scanning with Opter Driver.

This setting can be overridden for individual services by using the Allow Add packages with scanner checkbox in the Teenused window (Dispatch tab).

Only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android:

With AddPackageByScanningOrder you specify where on the menu Lisage pakkeüksus skannimise teel should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

AddServicePermission

AddServiceOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the Lisa teenuseid option on the menu in the detail view so that the driver can add extras to existing orders.

  • ”True” (default): the option is displayed.

  • “False”: the option is not displayed.

With AddServiceOrder you specify where on the menu Lisa teenuseid should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

To select which extras to add to Opter Driver, select Saadaval mobiilseadmes in Majandus > Hinnakirjad > Extras types.

App.ApproveChanges

Applies to Opter Driver only.

  • ”True” (default): All changes must be manually approved in dispatch to be saved in the system.

    You can make exceptions for certain drivers and certain Vehicles, certain changes and certain services, which then do not need to be authorised in the dispatch. For more information, see Setting how changes made in Opter Driver are approved.

  • “False”: no changes need to be manually approved in dispatch to be saved. If "false" is entered, the settings in the registries do not matter. No changes need to be approved regardless of the settings.

New orders created in Opter Driver are always saved directly in Opter, regardless of the settings configured for App.ApproveChanges. If drivers should not to be able to create new orders in Opter Driver, set CreateNewOrderPermission to “false”. For more information, see New orders in Opter Driver.

App.ChooseSecondaryResource

  • ”True” (default): the driver must add a resource type that is different to the one they logged in as. For example, if you log in as a driver, you must then select a vehicle. It can be made optional to select the second resource type by setting App.ChooseSecondaryResourceOptional = “true”.

  • “False”: the driver does not have to select another resource type in addition to the one they are logged in as.

Only applies to drivers who are not associated with a supplier. The corresponding setting for drivers not associated with a supplier is App.ChooseSecondaryResourceIfSupplier.

App.ChooseSecondaryResourceIfSupplier

  • ”True” (default): the driver must add a resource type that is different to the one they logged in as. For example, if you log in as a driver, you must then select a vehicle. It can be made optional to select the second resource type by setting App.ChooseSecondaryResourceOptionalIfSupplier = “true”.

  • “False”: the driver does not have to select another resource type in addition to the one they are logged in as.

Only applies to drivers associated with a supplier. The corresponding setting for drivers who are not associated with a supplier is App.ChooseSecondaryResource.

App.ChooseSecondaryResourceOptional

  • “True”: the driver can add a resource type that is different to the one they logged in as, but it is not mandatory.

  • ”False” (default): the driver must add a resource type that is different to the one they logged in as. For example, if you log in as a driver, you must then select a vehicle.

Only applies to drivers who are not associated with a supplier. Only applies if App.ChooseSecondaryResource = “true”. The corresponding setting for drivers not associated with a supplier is App.ChooseSecondaryResourceOptionalIfSupplier.

App.ChooseSecondaryResourceOptionalIfSupplier

  • “True”: the driver can add a resource type that is different to the one they logged in as, but it is not mandatory.

  • ”False” (default): the driver must add a resource type that is different to the one they logged in as. For example, if you log in as a driver, you must then select a vehicle.

Only applies to drivers associated with a supplier. Only applies if App.ChooseSecondaryResourceIfSupplier = “true”. The corresponding setting for drivers not associated with a supplier is App.ChooseSecondaryResourceOptional.

App.CustomerLogoNameFallback

Applies to Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android.

  • “True”: If no customer logo (image) is available, the customer name is displayed instead.

  • ”False” (default): If no customer logo (image) is available, nothing is displayed.

For more information on how to set what is displayed in Opter Driver for iOS, see Design field for mobile (window).

In Opter Driver (classic) for Android, nothing is displayed if no logo is available. For more information, see Display customer logo in Opter Driver (classic).

App.DefaultCustomerCode

Enter the customer code that is to be preselected for new orders created in Opter Driver. Enter the customer code as a value, for example “OPT”.

App.DefaultServiceTypeCode

Enter the service that is to be preselected for new orders created in Opter Driver. Enter the name of the service as the value, for example “Home delivery”.

App.Design

You can customise the layout of the Opter Driver (classic) for Android at App.Design. For more information, see App.Design.

For Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android we recommend that the Design field for mobile window is used to set the fields to be displayed in the app. For more information, see Setting which fields are displayed in Opter Driver.

To have a custom layout in Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android, this can be created in either App.OpterDriver.Design or App.Design, but to be able to use all the features that are available, App.OpterDriver.Design needs to be used rather than App.Design.

App.ForceDamageOnDelay

Controls whether it should be mandatory to register a deviation in case of late delivery.

  • “True”: The driver must register a deviation in case of late delivery.

  • ”False” (default): The driver does not have to register a deviation in case of late delivery.

You can make exceptions to this setting for individual customers. For more information, see Managing delays in Opter Driver.

App.ForceDelayReasonOnDelay

Control whether it should be mandatory to indicate reason and comment in case of delayed delivery.

  • “True”: Drivers must give reason and comment in case of delayed delivery.

  • ”False” (default): Drivers cannot give a reason or comment.

You can make exceptions to this setting for individual customers. For more information, see .

App.ForceOldDesign

Applies only to Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android. We recommend setting this to “false”.

  • “True”: Use App.Design to define the information to be displayed in Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android. For more information, see App.Design.

  • ”False” (default): Use the Design field for mobile window to define the information to be displayed in Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android. For more information, see Setting which fields are displayed in Opter Driver. To have a custom layout in Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android, this can be created in either App.OpterDriver.Design or App.Design, but to be able to use all the features that are available, App.OpterDriver.Design needs to be used rather than App.Design. For more information, see App.OpterDriver.Design.

App.NoPodNameSuggestions

Only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android. (In Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android, suggested names are always shown if there are any). The suggested names are displayed in alphabetical order.

  • “True”: no suggested names are displayed in the POD view.

  • ”False” (default): the names of the receivers who have most recently signed at the current address are displayed as suggestions in the POD view in the Nimi field.

App.OpterDriver.Design

We recommend using the Design field for mobile window to set the fields to be displayed in Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android. For more information, see Setting which fields are displayed in Opter Driver.

To have a custom layout in Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android, this can be created in either App.OpterDriver.Design or App.Design, but to be able to use all the features that are available, App.OpterDriver.Design needs to be used rather than App.Design.

App.ForceOldDesign must be set to “false” in order to monitor the content of the XML file in App.OpterDriver.Design or the settings in the Design field for mobile window.

App.ShowOnlySuppliersSecondaryResources

  • ”True” (default): only show secondary resources associated with the same supplier. This means that drivers do not see drivers/vehicles of other suppliers. Nor do they see drivers/vehicles that are not associated with a supplier at all.

  • “False”: show all the secondary resources, not just those associated with the same supplier as the driver.

This setting is only valid if App.ChooseSecondaryResourceIfSupplier = “True”.

  • ”True” (default): users who log in and are not associated with a supplier will only see secondary resources that are not associated with a supplier.

  • “False”: show all the secondary resources, i.e. both those associated with a supplier and those not associated with a supplier.

This setting is only valid if App.ChooseSecondaryResource = “True”.

App.SyncAllConsignedShipments

 

This setting is only of interest when working with consignments.

This setting only applies if GroupConsignments = “true”.

If GroupConsignments = "false", it works like App.SyncAllConsignedShipments = "false", even if that has been set to "true".

  • ”True” (default): If a consignment is assigned to a resource, all the consignment’s original shipments for the resource are displayed in Opter Driver regardless of whether or not they are assigned.

    The resource (driver) can only change the information and status of the original shipments assigned to them, but all the original shipments in the consignment are displayed for information. They are shown in the detail view and in the Ühendatud saadetised view.

  • “False”: In Opter Driver, only shipments that are assigned to the logged-in resource are displayed.

App.SyncPodNameSuggestions

Allows you to disable the list of suggested names for pods in Opter Driver.

”True” (default): Suggestions for name clarifications are shown in Opter Driver.

“False”: Suggested name clarifications are not displayed in Opter Driver.

App.TargetVersionAndroid

Applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android.

Enter the oldest authorised version of Opter Driver (classic) for Android in your system, for example "1.7.5". Devices with an older version must be updated in order to log in on them.

The setting can be overwritten by a central setting in Opter. Contact support if you change this setting and it has been changed back the next time you open Opter.

App.TargetVersionXamarin

Applies to Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android version 2.4.19 and later.

Enter the oldest authorised version of Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android in your system, for example "2.4.20".

If a driver has an older version of Opter Driver on their device, the driver must update to the version you specified in App.TargetVersionXamarin or a later version in order to log into Opter Driver.

In App.TargetVersionXamarin it is not possible to enter versions older than 2.4.19, as the feature was added in that version.

The setting can be overwritten by a central setting in Opter. Contact support if you change this setting and it has been changed back the next time you open Opter.

ArticlesPermission

ArticlesOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the menu item Hinnaelemendid in the detail view, and in the POD view in Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android.

  • ”True” (default): the option is displayed. Drivers can add new and change existing Price items.

    • If you do not want drivers to be able to add new Price items to orders, set AddNewPriceItemPermission to "False". Then they can only change existing Price items.

    • You also need to tick Saadaval mobiilseadmes for the Price items to be available in the app on the Manuaalse hinnaga kaubad tab of the price list.

    To set which fields are displayed in the item view, see Settings for the article view (SPI_) below.

  • “False”: Drivers cannot add new or change existing Price items to orders.

With ArticlesOrder you specify where on the menu Hinnaelemendid should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

AttachmentsPermission

For Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android

  • “True”: Attached files is displayed at the bottom of the detail view when a shipment with attachments is opened.

  • “False” (default): Attached files is not displayed.

For Opter Driver for Android (classic)

  • “True”: Option Lisatud failid appears in the menu in the detail view in Opter Driver.

  • ”False” (default): The menu option Lisatud failid is not displayed.

For more information, see Attachments in Opter Driver.

ChangesPermission

ChangesOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the menu item Changes in the detail view.

  • ”True” (default): Drivers are allowed to make changes to the shipments in the app. In Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android, Changes also appears in the POD view.

  • “False”: Drivers cannot make changes to shipments in the app.

For more information, see Changes to orders in Opter Driver.

With ChangesOrder you specify where on the menu Muudatused should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

ChangeShipmentStatusFromMapPermission

To change the status of a shipment directly on the map in Opter Driver, click on an address and then on in the box that opens. On Android devices, you can also long press on the address to change the status. The change will apply from the next time the driver logs into the app.

  • “True”: You can change the status in the map view.

  • ”False” (default): It is not possible to change the status in the map view.

Depending on the status set, the POD view may open as some state changes may require POD.

CreateNewOrderPermission

CreateNewOrderOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the menu item New order in the order lists, which controls whether or not drivers can create new orders in the app.

  • ”True” (default): the option is displayed.

  • “False”: the option is not displayed.

With CreateNewOrderOrder you specify where on the menu Uus tellimus should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

DamagesPermission

DamagesOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the menu item Kahjud in the detail view.

  • ”True” (default): The driver can view existing deviations on the order and add new ones, unless AddNewDamagePermission is set to "False". If AddNewDamagePermission is set to "False", the menu item Deviations is only displayed if there are deviations on the shipment.

    Drivers can also add new deviations in the POD view.

    For more information, see Deviations, The deviation view in Opter Driver and POD view in Opter Driver.

  • “False”: Drivers cannot see existing deviations and cannot add new deviations.

With DamagesOrder you specify where on the menu Kahjud should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.
DeletePriceItemPermission

Applies to all variants of Opter Driver.

Select whether drivers should be able to delete Price items added to the order/shipment in Opter:

  • “True”: Drivers can delete Price items in Opter Driver as follows:

    • In Opter Driver Labs for Android and Opter Driver for iOS, a Delete button appears at the bottom of the item view.

    • In Opter Driver (classic) for Android, the driver can instead long press on the Price item to be removed.

  • ”False” (default): Drivers cannot delete Price items in Opter Driver.

If ArticlesPermission is set to "False", it is not possible to delete Price items in Opter Driver regardless of the setting for DeletePriceItemPermission.

FillLoadCarrierPOD

Applies to Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android.

Applies to the scan type Fill load carrier.

In Opter Driver, drivers choose whether or not to register a proof of delivery after having filled the load carrier.

Set whether or not to open the proof of delivery page automatically when drivers finish scanning, i.e. when the driver has tapped Fill load carrier, scanned the packages to add them to the load carrier and then tapped End. Select "true" or "false", pursuant to the following:

  • “True”: The proof of delivery page opens automatically when drivers finish scanning in Opter Driver.

    In other words, once the driver has tapped Fill load carrier, scanned the packages being added to the load carrier and then tapped End, the proof of delivery page opens. The drivers choose whether or not to register a proof of delivery.

  • ”False” (default): The proof of delivery page does not open automatically when drivers finish scanning in Opter Driver. If the driver wants to register a proof of delivery, the driver can drag the scan to the left so that the menu is visible. The driver then presses the Proof of delivery menu option. The proof of delivery page opens and the driver can register a proof of delivery.

FilterPermission

FilterOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the Filter menu option.

  • ”True” (default): Drivers can filter the assignment list at Direct, Line haul, Pickup or Delivery.

    The risk is that they filter the shipment list and then forget to remove the filter, thus not seeing all their shipments.

  • “False”: Drivers cannot filter the mission list.

With FilterOrder you specify where on the menu Filter should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

ForceReasonWhenRejectingShipment

Control if the driver has to give a reason for declining a shipment. Cancelled shipments are displayed as driver messages in the dispatch.

  • “True”: If the driver cancels a shipment, a field will appear where the reason must be entered before clicking on Yes.

  • ”False” (default): The driver does not need to give a reason and can decline the shipment directly. Although a reason is not mandatory, a message is sent to the dispatch indicating that the shipment has been cancelled. You can switch off this message by setting SendRejectMessageWithoutReason to "False" (see below).

GetPictureFromGalleryPermission

For Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android version 2.4.20 and later.

Choose whether drivers should be able to add images that they already have on their mobile device:

  • ”True” (default): The button appears in the Add image field and drivers can add images they already have.

    If you have chosen not to show the field Add image in any view (for example the POD view), then drivers cannot add images in that view, even if you have set GetPictureFromGalleryPermission to "true".

  • “False”: The button is not displayed, so drivers cannot add images they already have. Instead, they can take a new picture and attach it, (if you have chosen to display the field Add image).

For Opter Driver (classic) for Android.

Choose whether drivers should be able to add images that they already have on their mobile device:

  • ”True” (default): When the driver chooses to add an image, the menu option Galerii is displayed in the app and the driver can add images that they already have.

  • “False”: When the driver chooses to add an image, the menu option Galerii is not displayed in the app and the driver cannot add images that they already have. Instead, the driver can press the menu option Kaamera, take a new picture and attach it.

GiveAwayPermission

GiveAwayOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the menu item Give away in the detail view.

  • “True”: Drivers may give away shipments to other resources from the same haulage company.

  • “False”: Drivers cannot give away shipments to other resources.

With GiveAwayOrder you specify where on the menu Anna ära should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

GroupConsignments

  • ”True” (default): Consignments are grouped in the order list in Opter Driver.

    A section is then displayed for each consignment, in which the included original shipments or the consignment shipment are displayed with pickup/delivery addresses. Whether the included original or consignment shipments are displayed with addresses depends on the setting of Looge uued aadressid, kui saatmisel sobivaid aadresse pole. For more information, see Consignments in Opter Driver and Saadetise liigid (window).

  • “False”: Consignments are not grouped in Opter Driver. A section is then displayed for each shipment.

    This setting also affects App.SyncAllConsignedShipments.

    If GroupConsignments = "false" then it will work as if App.SyncAllConsignedShipments = "false", even if you have set it to "true".

GuardSystems.Password

GuardSystems.Username

If you use GSFleet GPS trackers in your vehicles, enter your GSFleet account customer ID, username and password. For more information, see GPS tracker from GSFleet.
IncludeConsignmentChildren

Applies to Opter Driver for Android.

  • “True”: View the original assignments included in the consignment.

    For Opter Driver for iOS: To display as much information as possible about consignments in the app, set both IncludeConsignments and IncludeConsignmentChildren to “true”. This shows both the original shipments that make up the consignment and the consignment shipments.

    For Opter Driver for Android: We recommend setting either IncludeConsignments or IncludeConsignmentChildren to “true”, as consignments cannot be grouped in Opter Driver for Android.

    If you only work on original shipments in the app, and do not create extra shipments on the consignment, then set IncludeConsignmentChildren to “true” (to display the original shipments that make up the consignment) and set IncludeConsignments to “false” (so consignment shipments are not displayed in Opter Driver).

  • ”False” (default): Do not show the original assignments included in the consignment.

IncludeConsignments

Applies to Opter Driver for Android.

  • “True”: View consignment shipments in Opter Driver.

    For Opter Driver for iOS: To display as much information as possible about consignments in the app, set both IncludeConsignments and IncludeConsignmentChildren to “true”. This shows both the original shipments that make up the consignment and the consignment shipments.

    For Opter Driver for Android: We recommend setting either IncludeConsignments or IncludeConsignmentChildren to “true”, as consignments cannot be grouped in Opter Driver for Android.

  • ”False” (default): Do not show consignment shipments in Opter Driver.

    If you only work on original shipments in the app, and do not create extra shipments on the consignment, then set IncludeConsignmentChildren to “true” (to display the original shipments that make up the consignment) and set IncludeConsignments to “false” (so consignment shipments are not displayed in Opter Driver).

InternetBaseAddress

Enter the web address of the customer web. In the Baasaadress field of the Internet tab in the office settings, you can see which address should be entered here. For example, the URL may be “https://expresstransport.no/opter” or “https://expresstransport.opter.cloud” (if you are using the Opter cloud solution). For more information, seeCustomer web and Track & Trace.

InternetBaseAddress is used, among other things, to:

LoadCarrierPermission

Applies to Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android version 2.4.17 and later.

Select if drivers are able to use the load carrier function in Opter Driver or not, pursuant to the following:

  • “True”: The Fill load carrier button appears in the app and drivers can use the load carrier function in Opter Driver.

  • ”False” (default): The Fill load carrier button is not displayed in the app. Drivers cannot use the load carrier function in Opter Driver.

    If the driver scans a package that is in a load carrier, the package is removed from the load carrier in Opter in conjunction with the scan, and the scan is registered as a normal package scan.

    (In Opter Driver, it cannot be seen that the package belonged to a load carrier before the scan).

LooseItemForceSetValue

Make it mandatory/not mandatory to indicate loose items if there are already loose items on the order.

LooseItemsPermission must be “True” for this setting to have any effect.

  • “True”:  The driver must indicate the number of loose items as follows:

    • When loading the first shipment on the order, the driver must specify Starting quantity, if it is not already there.

    • When unloading the last shipment on the order, the driver must specify Ending quantity, if it is not already there.

  • ”False” (default): The driver is not required to declare the number of loose items, but the possibility exists.

LooseItemsPermission

LooseItemsOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the Loose items option in the POD view (Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android) and in the menu in the detail view (Opter Driver (classic) for Android).

  • “True”: Drivers can enter the number of loose items in the app.

  • ”False” (default): Drivers cannot enter the number of loose items in the app.

With LooseItemsOrder you specify where on the menu Lahtised esemed should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

  • “False”: The driver can only change the status to Tarnitud / maha laaditud by scanning. For Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android, the driver cannot register proof of delivery manually, only by scanning.

    If there is a shortcut on the menu in the detail view to a POD-type with the setting Määra olekuks tarnitud/mahalaaditud, that shortcut will not be displayed if this setting is 'false'. For more information, see POD view in Opter Driver.

Set whether drivers should only be able to change to the status Korje/peale laetud by scanning:

  • ”True” (default): The driver can change the status to Korje/peale laetud both manually and by scanning.

  • “False”: The driver can only change the status to Korje/peale laetud by scanning. For Opter Driver for iOS, the driver cannot register proof of delivery manually, only by scanning.

OneScanRowPermission

Only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android:

Controls whether package scans are displayed in a block or as separate scans on the Skaneeri tab in Opter Driver:

  • ”True” (default): A block.

  • “False”: Separate scans.

For Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android, check scans are always displayed in blocks. For more information, see Customising the scan list in Opter Driver.

OpenMenuOnLongClickFromShipmentlist

Applies only to Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android.

Select how Opter Driver should behave if the driver is far away from a shipment in the shipment list:

  • "True" (default) = If the driver long-taps on a shipment in the shipment list, both the detail view and the menu will open. The menu then covers part of the detail view.

  • "False" = If the driver long-presses on a shipment in the shipment list, the detail view opens. (This is the same behaviour as when the driver presses (short) on a shipment in the shipment list).

    Select "False" if it is important for the driver to see the detail view before moving on and selecting an option from the menu.

PackageDimensionsString

Controls the information that is displayed about packages in the scan list. The Väärtus column works as a free text field. The variables below allow values to be retrieved from the package rows on the order:

  • {0} = number of packages in the order

  • {1:0.##} = weight to a maximum of two decimal places

  • {2:0.##} = volume to a maximum of two decimal places

  • {3:0.##} = load metres to a maximum of two decimal places

  • {4:0.##} = pallet space to a maximum of two decimal places

  • {5:0.##} = width to a maximum of two decimal places

  • {6:0.##} = height to a maximum of two decimal places

  • {7:0.##} = depth to a maximum of two decimal places

  • {8} = extra dimension 1

  • {9} = extra dimension 2

  • {10} = extra dimension 3

  • {11} = extra dimension 4

  • {12} = extra dimension 5

  • {13} = goods text

  • {14} = package type

  • {15} = goods type.

Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android: Use PackageDimensionsString together with the variable PACKAGE.DIMENSIONS. For more information, see Customising the scan list in Opter Driver.

Opter Driver (classic) for Android: works best if OneScanRowPermission = “true”. Use PackageDimensionsString together with the variable PACKAGE.DIMENSIONS in App.Design. For more information, see The scan list in Opter Driver.

Opter Terminal: Make the following settings for onescanrow in Terminal.Settings:

  • enabled="true"

  • showdimensions="true"

Default: no package dimensions are displayed.

The PackageDimensionsString setting applies to both Opter Driver and Opter Terminal, which means that it is not possible to display different dimensions or text in the different apps.

PackagesPermission

PackagesOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the menu item Pakkeüksused in the detail view.

  • ”True” (default): the option is displayed.

  • “False”: the option is not displayed.

With PackagesOrder you specify where on the menu Pakkeüksused should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

PodCommentEnabled

Shows/hides the field Comment in the POD view.

  • “True”: The field is displayed. You can make it mandatory to type or scan a comment by selecting Nõua kommentaari under Seaded > Veokiri (POD) > Veokirja tüüp. If you want the driver to scan the comment (for example, scan a barcode), tick Skanni kommentaar. For more information, see Veokirja tüüp (window) and POD view in Opter Driver.

  • ”False” (default): The field is not displayed.

PodPackageCountEnabled

Shows/hides the field Number of packages in the POD view. Select whether drivers should be able to enter the number of pods when registering a pod. This feature can be useful if you are not scanning.

  • ”True” (default): The field is displayed. The driver can enter the number of pods for which the pod is valid when registering a POD. Once the pod has been registered, the number of packages is displayed in the Kinnitatud pakkeüksused column under Veokiri (POD) in the Order reception.

    The Number of packages field is not displayed when drivers have scanned a parcel or a Freight bill, and then enter the POD view. If the driver has scanned one or more parcels, the pod is registered for the scanned parcels. If the driver has scanned a Freight bill, the delivery pod for all packages is recorded on the Freight bill.

  • “False”: The field is not displayed.

PodPictureEnabled

Shows/hides the field Add image in the POD view.

  • “True”: The field is displayed and the driver can add a picture in the context of the POD

  • ”False” (default): The field is not displayed and the driver cannot add an image.

PodRemarkEnabled

Shows/hides the field Märkus in the POD view.

  • ”True” (default): The field is displayed.

    You can make it mandatory to add a comment by selecting Nõua märkust on the proof of delivery type. For more information, see Veokirja tüüp (window).

  • “False”: The field is not displayed. It can be useful, for example, if you want to force the driver to indicate a deviation on the shipment instead of making a note of it on the pod.
PositionUpdateInterval

Controls how often Opter Driver sends the position to the database. Enter a value in seconds.

The lowest permitted value is every 5 seconds. If a value lower than “5” is entered here, it will change to “5”. It is therefore not possible to disable positioning completely by entering “0”.

Default: 60 seconds.

  • GPS positioning uses a lot of battery power. The more often the position is sent, the faster the battery in the device runs out. We recommend not sending the position more often than every 60 seconds.

  • The position history can be displayed on the map in dispatch (see GDPR enquiries ).

PosTrack.Password

PosTrack.Username

If you use GPS trackers from Postrack in your vehicles, enter the username and password of your Postrack account. For more information, see GPS tracker from Postrack.

PosTrack.IdleTimeout

If no positions are received from the Postrack unit, the Opter Driver takes over and sends the vehicle position to the Opter. This setting allows you to specify the number of minutes before the Opter Driver takes over.

Default: 30 minutes.

PrintAssignmentListPermission

Show/hide the query Kas soovite printida ülesannete loendi? during departure scan from Terminal. If the answer is Yes, a print request is sent to Opter and the job list can be printed from the window Terminali printimine. For more information, see Printing a job list after departure scan (Opter Driver).

  • “True”: The question appears.

  • ”False” (default): The question does not appear.

PrintPermission

PrintOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the menu item Freight bill/Package labels (Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android) and Prindi (Opter Driver (classic) for Android) in the detail view.

  • ”True” (default): the option is displayed. Drivers can open Freight bills/carbon labels and print them.

  • “False”: the option is not displayed.

ProofOfDeliveryPermission

ProofOfDeliveryOrder (only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android)

Shows/hides the menu item Proof of delivery in the detail view.

  • ”True” (default): the option is displayed.

  • “False”: the option is not displayed.

With ProofOfDeliveryOrder you specify where on the menu Laadimise kinnitus (POD) should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.
QueryPermission

Shows/hides checklists in Opter Driver.

  • "True" = If there is a checklist on the order, it will be displayed in Opter Driver and the driver will have to fill it in at pick-up and/or delivery.

  • "False" (default) = Checklists are not displayed in Opter Driver.

SaveSortPermission

Select whether the route sequence from Opter Driver should be synchronised with the dispatch.

  • “True”: The driver's route sequence from Opter Driver is transferred to the dispatch.

    The driver's manual route sequence is saved on the mobile data server. If the driver logs out of Opter Driver and then logs back in, the route sequence remains.

    For drivers to be able to change the route sequence in the app, SortPermission must not be set to "False".

  • ”False” (default): The driver's sorting from Opter Driver is not transferred to the dispatch.

    The driver's manual route sequence is not saved on the mobile data server. If the driver logs out of Opter Driver and then logs back in, the route sequence no longer exists.

SendRejectMessageWithoutReason

  • ”True” (default): If the driver cancels a shipment, a message will be sent which will be visible under Juhi sõnumid in the dispatch.

  • “False”: No message is sent to the dispatch if the driver cancels a shipment.

You can make it mandatory for the driver to give a reason for declining the shipment by setting ForceReasonWhenRejectingShipment to "True" (see above).

SetArbitraryStatusDoneTabPermission (Valmis)

SetArbitraryStatusNewTabPermission (Uus)

SetArbitraryStatusToDoTabPermission (Töös)

Only applies to Opter Driver (classic) for Android.

Does not apply if both SetMultipleStatusPermission and SetArbitraryStatusPermission are set to "False", which means that the menu item Valige olek… does not appear in the list view.

These settings allow you to make exceptions for individual tabs (Uus/Töös/Valmis) so that drivers cannot switch to any status in that particular list.

The default for SetArbitraryStatusNewTabPermission is "False", which means you need to set it to "True" if you want drivers to be able to switch to any status on the Uus tab.

  • 'True' (default for SetArbitraryStatusToDoTabPermission and SetArbitraryStatusDoneTabPermission): The driver can switch to any status.

  • 'False' (default for SetArbitraryStatusNewTabPermission): The driver cannot switch to any status.

If you do not make any settings at all for the following settings, drivers can switch to any status on the tabs Töös and Valmis as well as in the detail view, as all are "True" by default, except SetArbitraryStatusNewTabPermission which is "False" by default.

Opter Driver (classic) for Android

Shows/hides the menu item Valige olek…, which allows drivers to change to any status in the life cycle.

  • ”True” (default): The driver can select any status in the life cycle by clicking on > Valige olek… in the detail view. If SetMultipleStatusPermission is set to "True", Valige olek… is also displayed on the menu in the shipment lists, allowing the driver to select any status on one or more shipments at once.

    You can make exceptions for the tabs Uus, Töös and/or Valmis so that drivers cannot choose the status of that particular tab.

    • Uus: The default setting is that drivers are not allowed to change to any status. If you want them to be able to do that, set SetArbitraryStatusNewTabPermission to "True".

    • Töös: Set SetArbitraryStatusToDoTabPermission to 'False'.

    • Valmis: Set SetArbitraryStatusDoneTabPermission to 'False'.

  • “False”: The driver can only change the status to the next status in the life cycle. For example, if a shipment is currently in status Korjatud, it can only be changed to status Kohale toimetatud.

With SetArbitraryStatusOrder you specify where on the menu Valige olek… should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

SetMultipleStatusPermission

Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android

  • ”True” (default): The driver can change the status of one or more shipments simultaneously in the shipment list. This means that the driver can change the status of shipments without seeing all the information displayed in the detail view.

    Certain exceptions may be made. For more information, see Setting how status can be changed in Opter Driver.

  • “False”: The driver cannot change the status of shipments in the shipment list. This means the driver cannot change the status of several shipments at the same time. To change the status, the driver must open the shipment in the detail view. So the driver can only change the status of one shipment at a time.

Opter Driver (classic) for Android

  • ”True” (default): The driver can change the status of several shipments at the same time in the shipment lists.

    You can make exceptions for the statuses Korjatud and/or Kohale toimetatud, so that the driver has to enter the detail view (for one shipment at a time) to change the status to Korjatud and/or Kohale toimetatud. Set SetStatusPickedUpInShipmentListPermission and/or SetStatusDeliveredInShipmentListPermission to "False".

    You can also set whether drivers should only be able to change to Korjatud and/or Kohale toimetatud by scanning. In this case, set ManualStatusChangePickUpPermission and/or ManualStatusChangeDeliveryPermission to "False".

  • “False”: The driver cannot change the status of several shipments at the same time in the shipment list.

SetStatusConfirmedInShipmentListPermission

Does not apply to Opter Driver (classic) for Android.

Set whether or not drivers should be able to confirm shipments without having seen all the information that is displayed in the detail view:

  • ”True” (default): The driver can change the status of one shipment at a time or multiple shipments at the same time to Kinnitatud in the shipment list. This means that the driver can change the status of the shipment to Kinnitatud without seeing all the information displayed in the detail view. The driver can also confirm shipments directly from notifications.

  • “False”: The driver cannot change the status to Kinnitatud on shipments in the shipment list. This means the driver cannot change the status of several shipments to Kinnitatud at the same time. Nor can the driver confirm shipments directly from notifications.

    If you want the driver's route sequence to be transferred to the dispatch, also set SaveSortPermission to "True".

  • “False”: Drivers cannot re-sort the job list in Opter Driver. The menu items Sort and Manual route sequence are not displayed.

With SortOrder you specify where on the menu Sorteeri should be by entering a number. 1 = at the top of the menu.

Controls what information is displayed about packages in the package list. The Väärtus column works as a free text field. The tags below allow you to retrieve values from the column lines of the order:

  • SPA_LoadMeter = load metre

Shows/hides the menu item Tööajad on the menu, allowing drivers to report to dispatch that they are taking a break.

Settings for the deviation view (DAM_)

Opter Driver (classic) for Android.

There are two types of DAM_settings:

  • "DAM_XyzPermission": Show/hide the field ("true"/"false").

  • "DAM_XyzName": Enter a new name for the field.

  • Opter Driver (classic) for Android: All fields are displayed.

  • Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android: all the fields except Juhi sõnum (SHI_DriverMessagePermission), Order date (SHI_OrderDatePermission) and Saatja juhised (SHI_SenderInstructionPermission) are displayed.

The order in which fields are displayed can also be set and they can be renamed. It is also possible to set drivers not to be able to create new orders in the app by setting CreateNewOrderPermission to "False". For more information, see New orders in Opter Driver.

By default, drivers can create new orders in the app.

In Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android, the New order view looks like this:
