Step 1: Install the app
Opter Driver requires iOS version 15.0 or later. To see which iOS version your phone is running, tap Settings > General > About.
How to install the app:
Open App Store on your iPhone or iPad.
Search for “Opter Driver” and install the app with that name.
The new Opter Driver Labs app for Android has the same underlying technology as Opter Driver for iOS, and all the features found in, for example, version 2.4.20 of Opter Driver for iOS are also found in version 2.4.20 of Opter Driver Labs for Android.
Opter Driver Labs for Android is in beta, which means it is still under development. The app may lack certain special features.
Opter Driver Labs requires Android 7.1 or later. You can check which version of Android your mobile phone is running by tapping Settings > About phone > Android version (or Software information).
If you want to start using Opter Driver Labs for Android, follow these steps:
Open the Play Store on your mobile phone, search for "Opter Driver Labs" and install the app with that name.
Then follow the instructions below.
Step 2: Set up the app
Follow these steps to connect the app to your Opter system:
Open Opter on your computer. Click on QR codes and links for our apps on the left-hand side of the main menu in Opter. This page displays the QR code and server address you will need in step 4 below.
Open the Opter Driver app on your mobile.

Press Settings (1).

Connect the app to your Opter system by doing one of the following:
Enter your cloud ID (cloud name) in the Server address or Cloud ID field (2). The Cloud ID is your company name as it appears in Opter, for example “the courier company”. There must be no spaces in or after the name.
Tap QR (3) and scan the QR code for Opter Driver. The QR code can be found under QR codes and links for our apps on the left-hand side of the main menu in Opter.
Enter your server address, for example “https://budfirman.opter.cloud:xyz/mobile”, in the Server address or Cloud ID field (2).

Press Close to save the settings.
To ensure the times of shipments are displayed correctly in the app, the correct time zone must be set. On an iPhone, tap Settings > General > Date and time and activate Set automatically. On your Android device, tap the Settings icon> System > Date and time and activate Set automatically.
Step 3: Logging in as a vehicle or driver and shipment allocation
Choose whether drivers log into the app as vehicles or drivers, and choose whether shipments are assigned to vehicles or drivers. Click on Seaded > Mobiilne andmeside > Mobiilseadmete tüübid and select Sõidukid or Autojuhid under Logi sisse kasutajana or Määra saadetised.
Step 4: Select whether drivers should specify a secondary resource when logging in
You can configure the following settings:
Should drivers be able to add a second resource type other than the one they logged in as, and if so, should this be mandatory or not? For example, they could log in as a driver and then add a vehicle, or log in as a vehicle and then add a driver.
Whether drivers should be able to see all other resources or only those belonging to the same operator as themselves.
Here’s how to configure the settings:
Click Seaded > Mobiilne andmeside > Mobiilse andmeside seaded.
Click on an empty row in column Nimi, then click the down arrow in the row that is added.
Select the setting you wish to configure from the list, for example App.ShowOnlySuppliersSecondaryResources. Enter “true” or “false” in the column Väärtus.

If the driver logging into the app is affiliated with a haulage contractor Should users be able to add a different resource type from the one they logged in with?
Select App.ChooseSecondaryResourceIfSupplier from the list.
“True” = The driver may add a resource type other than the one they logged in as.

If no value has been specified for App.ChooseSecondaryResourceIfSupplier, it is treated as “true”.
If you set App.ChooseSecondaryResourceIfSupplier to “true”, proceed to point 2 below. If you set App.ChooseSecondaryResourceIfSupplier to “false”, you’re all set and can click on Salvesta.

Should the driver see all other vehicles, or only those belonging to the same operator?

Nor do they see drivers or vehicles, but rather hauliers. They only see other resources belonging to the same haulier as themselves.
“False” = Show all other resources, not just those belonging to the same crew as the driver.
If no value has been specified for App.ShowOnlySuppliersSecondaryResources, it is treated as “true”.
Click on Salvesta.

If no value has been specified for App.ShowOnlySuppliersSecondaryResources, it is treated as “true”.
Click on Salvesta.
Step 5: Create login details
Depending on how you chose for users to log in in step 3 above, you will need to create login details for vehicles or drivers.
Here's how to do it:
The username and password are the same as those used to log in to the vehicle web. If you change them, the new details will apply there too.
Click Register > Transpordivahendid, select a vehicle from the list on the left and go to the tab Mobiil/veeb.
Enter the username that the resource should use to log in to the app. If the vehicle is new to the register, save it so that you can then create a password.
Click on Vaheta parool (1), enter the password in both fields (2 and 3), and then click on Okei (4) to save the password.

Passwords are not displayed in the log and cannot be recovered by Opter. If someone has forgotten their password, you can create a new one by clicking Vaheta parool and entering the new password.

Step 6: Set the maximum permitted version
If you wish to specify the oldest permitted version of Opter Driver for iOS and Opter Driver Labs for Android in your system, set the mobile data setting App.TargetVersionXamarin to the oldest permitted version, for example “2.4.20”.
