Notifications (order reception)

Order > Order reception

Here you can see which notifications are sent out about the order. You can also send out a notification manually from here by filling in the columns.

If the group is not displayed or if you want it in a different place in the Order reception, you can set it up. For more information, see Organising the groups in Order reception.

Function

Description

Category

Event

First select a category and then one or more events for that category. You can only select one category for each notification, but several different events for the category you have selected.

For example, if you select the category POD, you can select one or more POD-types in the column Event. When the POD-type is registered on the order, the notification is sent out.

More information on the categories can be found at Notification subscriptions (window).

Message

Report

The column Message does not really have any practical function. The column Report shows in plain text which report is used for the notification. If you want to use a different report, switch in the column Report.

If you change to [Default] in the Report column, it is no longer visible which report is being used. If so, check the column Message and go to Settings > Messages to see which report is the default for that message.

Method

Email or SMS. If you send out the notification by SMS, you cannot attach freight bills or parcel labels.

In order to send notifications via SMS, you need to have a Pixie account. See Activating the Pixie SMS service.

Notification receiver

  1. Manual: Enter the email address or telephone number in the column Email/phone number.

  2. Receiver: Sent to the recipient's email address/number in the Order reception.

  3. Sender: Sent to the sender's email address/number in the Order reception.

  4. Customer: Go to and look in the customer register (tab General) to see which e-mail address/number the notification is sent to.

  5. Reference: Go to and look in the subscriber register (tab General) to see which e-mail address/number the notification is sent to.

Email/phone number

If you selected Manual in the Notification receiver column, enter the e-mail address or telephone number to which the notification should be sent here.

If you have entered an email address or phone number here, but then change the notification recipient to Receiver, Sender, Customer or Reference, you must delete the email address or phone number you have entered here in order for the email address or phone number to be automatically retrieved from the Order reception or customer register.

Attach freight bill

Attach package labels

The Freight bill and/or parcel labels are sent as an attachment to the notification. If you send out the notification by SMS, you cannot attach freight bills or parcel labels.

Sent

Shows the date and time when the notification was first sent out. If the field is empty, it means that the notification has not been sent yet. In the notification log, you can see if the notification has been sent out several times at later dates, or if any notification has failed (tab Notification Log in the group Order log).

Send manually

Sends out the notification directly.
