Dimensions, order reception
Order > Order reception
The Dimensions section displays the dimensions of the order, which is a summary of the dimensions of all the packages included in the order. Calculated values are displayed in grey text in italics. A value can also be entered manually. Manually entered values are displayed in normal black text.
If the Dimensions section is not displayed or if it should be placed elsewhere in order reception, this can be set up. For more information, see Arranging the sections in order reception.
Fields for extra dimensions can also be added in the Dimensions section, see Adding fields and checkboxes in order reception.
Function | Explanation |
---|---|
Packages | Number of packages in the order. Click on to create that number of package rows in the Packages section. If a package ID number series has been set, the package rows will be allocated package numbers. Tips! The package ID number series is set on the Order Settings tab in the office settings. A package ID number series for consignment orders can be set by clicking on Settings > Consignment types and selecting a package ID number series from the Package id number series drop-down list. |
Weight | The sum of the weight of all the packages in the order. |
Length weight length | If the goods do not fit into the width of the vehicle and therefore have to be loaded lengthwise, the loading will probably not be as efficient in terms of surface area. If the customer should have to pay more for the transport in that case, the Length weight length dimension can be used. In the Length weight length dimension, the length is converted into a weight, so that the customer pays by weight instead. For more information, see Creating and setting up units and Calculating the pricing weight. |
Volume | The sum of the volume of all the packages in the order. |
Pallet space | Total number of pallet spaces for all packages in the order. |
Load metre | Total number of load metres for all packages in the order. |
Pricing weight | Pricing weight of order. For more information, see Calculating the pricing weight. Tip The pricing weight can be calculated separately for each package and then the pricing weights can be added up. Click on Settings > Weight calculation and select the Aggregate package pricing weights checkbox. Default setting: 0.00. |
Distance | The order’s driving distance in kilometres. Click on to update the distance. The service used for the distance calculation is set in the office settings (the Distance drop-down list on the Weight/Distance tab). |
Time | An optional time in hours and minutes that can be used to calculate price items, for example, can be entered here. Enter the time in the format “hours:minutes”, so “3:45” means 3 hours and 45 minutes. |
Driving time | Driving time is the time it takes to drive between two addresses. The driving time is displayed in the “hours:minutes” format, so for example if “9:16” is indicated, it means 9 hours and 16 minutes. The estimated driving time or a manually entered driving time is displayed here as follows:
