Creating and setting up units

Note:

Applies up to and including version 2023-07-01.238. The article is no longer updated.

To create or edit a unit, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on the price calculation in the tree on the left and go to the Settings tab.
  2. Go to the unit editor by clicking on the grey button at the far right end of a device’s row.
  3. To create a new unit, click on in the Price units window.
  4. In the Dimension drop-down list, select the field in order reception from which the unit will retrieve the quantity.

    Note:

If you do not choose a dimension:

    • no price is calculated for the service
    • the order creator can enter the number of units for price items on the price item row, if price items are used.
  5. To divide the number of units by a value, such as “60” to convert the number of minutes to the number of hours, enter the value in the Divide value by field.
  6. Select the number of decimal places from the Lowest unit drop-down list.
  7. Choose how to round the units in the Rounding type drop-down list.

    • In normal rounding, the unit is rounded up to the nearest whole number if the number of tenths exceeds or is equal to 5.

Example: 5.3 kg is rounded down to 5.0 kg and 5.6 kg is rounded up to 6.0 kg.

    • If you want the price per incomplete tonne, hour, etc., then round up.
  8. Click on to save all changes.
Note:

Restart Opter for the changes to take effect.
