Activating signing of POD on Track & Trace

A proof of delivery can be signed in Track & Trace, either on a mobile device or on a computer. This means that the receiver does not need to touch the driver’s device. The proof of delivery type that is registered is the one specified by default in the Proof of delivery types window.

The button for signing the proof of delivery is activated in Track & Trace when the status of the order has been set to Pickup/Loaded. Thus, if search by order number has not been disabled, the receiver would be able to sign the proof of delivery before the goods have been delivered if they access Track & Trace after the goods have been loaded but before they have been delivered. This can be prevented by deselecting Search by order number in the internet order settings.

The function is enabled as follows:

  1. Click on SettingsInternet > Internet order settings.
  2. Select the customer’s configuration from the list on the left.
  3. Go to the Track & Trace tab and select Allow POD from T&T customer.
  4. To prevent the receiver from signing before the goods have been delivered, and to prevent the receiver from searching for other order numbers, deselect Search by order number and select Encrypted search under Search options.
  5. Click on to save all changes.
