Zone direction (window)

Settings > Zone directions

In this window, create directions that you can set to geozones by entering the name and code. The directions are based on an imaginary centre point that you have agreed on, for example your headquarters, and can for example be "South" and "North". The centre point is not recorded anywhere in Opter, but is entirely theoretical.

The directions can help in the planning of the transport and are displayed in the traffic management with the columns Direction from (code)/Direction from (name) for the sender's geozone and Direction towards (code)/Direction towards (name) for the receiver's geozone. This way you can see which way the mission is going in relation to your intended centre point. For more information on how to add columns to traffic planning, see ( Dispatch settings (window)).

Thus, it is actually the combination of the zone directions of the sender and the receiver that gives a direction to the mission. The zone directions you create here, and indicate on the geozone, are rather a position relative to the centre point. The accuracy of the zoning directions you want to create will depend on how much support you want from them in your planning. The four cardinal points may be enough, or you may add more.
