Time of generation of scheduled copies
In this Price item
The timing of when scheduled orders are created is set in the system settings, but you can make exceptions for individual schedule templates and set orders of those particular schedule templates to be created at a different time. This can be useful if, for example, longer lead times are needed for certain orders.
Proceed as follows
-
Click on Order > Generate scheduled orders.
-
Double-click on the schedule template that is to be edited. The schedule template opens in order reception.
-
Click on Schedule in the Settings box. The Schedule window opens.
-
Select the option Autogenerate at the following time under Generation and enter the time of day the schedule copies should be created in the time field.
-
The number of days ahead that there should be scheduled copies is entered in the Number of days before the order date that the scheduled copies shall be generated field. 0 = today, 1 = today and tomorrow and so on. This figure is a measure of how many days into the future that there should be scheduled copies ready.
-
Click on Ok and then save the schedule template in order reception.
The time when today's scheduled orders were generated is displayed in the Today column of the Generate scheduled deliveries window.
Example
You have a schedule template that generates orders daily and enter "2" in the field Number of days before the order date that the scheduled copies shall be generated. The first time you generate the scheduled copies, they are created for day 0 (today), day 1 (tomorrow) and day 2 (the day after tomorrow). The next day (day 1), a scheduled copy for day 3 is created, as scheduled copies for days 1 and 2 already exist. You will always have three schedule copies of this schedule template in the dispatch centre.
