User accounts for Opter Terminal

Depending on what login option you have selected for users (which is done in the office settings, see Installing Opter Terminal for Android), user accounts for terminals or personal user accounts have to be created.

Creating user accounts for terminals

  1. Click on Register > Terminals.

  2. Select a terminal in the list on the left and go to the Mobile/web tab.

  3. Enter a username and click on Change password to create a password that the resource will use to log in to Opter Terminal. The checkbox Log in as terminal in Opter Terminal (office setting) is for information only and cannot be ticked or unticked here, it is done on the Scanning tab in the office settings (Logon as terminal in Opter Terminal).

The users can now log into the app using the credentials defined by you. The password is case sensitive. If you created the password "Password", users must log in with "Password", "password" does not work.

The passwords are encrypted and Opter cannot access them. If a user forgets their password, you must create a new one by clicking on Change password.

Creating personal user accounts

If users should be able to log into Opter Terminal with personal user accounts, first add them as employees and then create user accounts for them. For more information, see User accounts for the Opter client.

It is not possible to log in to Opter Terminal with Microsoft Entra ID (former Azure AD).
