It is possible to use Postrack tracking devices for positioning vehicles in Opter. More information is available on the Postrack website.

Once you have installed the tracking device on the vehicle and activated it in Opter, the vehicle's position is shown on the map in the traffic management. The position from Opter Driver is deactivated as long as the positioning from Postrack is active. If there are no more positions coming from Postrack, the positioning from Opter Driver is activated again.

(missing or bad snippet): Activate the mobile device type Postrack

In order to configure the tracking device in the vehicle register, the device type must be activated. It is deactivated by default.

1. Click on Settings > Mobile data > Mobile device types.

2. Click on Show > Show inactive.

3. Select Postrack in the list and click on in the toolbar.

Postrack now appears in the table of mobile devices on the Mobile/web tab of the vehicle registry.

You need to enter your username and password in the mobile data settings for Opter to communicate with the devices. If you do not know your login details, please contact Postrack.

• PosTrack.Username: Username for the Postrack account.

• PosTrack.Password: Password for the Postrack account.

(missing or bad snippet): Enter the unit registration number of the vehicle in the vehicle register

When you installed the tracking device on the vehicle, you entered a registration number for the device. Enter the same number in the vehicle register in Opter.

1. Click on Register > Vehicles.

2. Go to the tab Mobile/web and enter the registration number in the column Address.

3. Make sure the Active checkbox is selected.
