Opter Cloud

With Opter Cloud, you don’t need your own server. Opter runs the server in the Microsoft Cloud, and the client you install on your computer communicates with the server securely over the internet. As long as your computer is connected to the internet, you can access the system from anywhere in the world. Opter is responsible for its operation, updates and backups.

Technical matters

The database and Opter’s services run in the Microsoft Azure cloud. We use the Azure SQL and Azure Kubernetes Services for this.

The Opter client is installed on users’ workstations and communicates with the server via a REST API. Access takes place after logging in with the Bearer token and communication is encrypted with SSL. The client is updated when a new version is available on the server. For this to work, the logged-in user must have write access to the folder where the client is installed. There is nothing to prevent different users using the same computer from having different client installations. For instructions on how to install the client, see Installing the Opter Cloud client.

The webs can be accessed via https://<your name>.opter.cloud/<specific webb>. For more information, see Customer web and Track & Trace, Introduction to the supplier web, Introduction to the subcontractor web, Introduction to the driver web, Introduction to the vehicle web and Introduction to the terminal web.

Opter Driver communicates with the server via SignalR. Access takes place after logging in with the Bearer token and communication is encrypted with SSL. Opter Driver is downloaded from the Play Store and configured by a barcode. For more information on how to install and configure the app, see Installing Opter Driver for Android and Installing Opter Driver for iOS.
