POD for partial deliveries

If multiple partial deliveries are made for a single order, a final, complete proof of delivery can be created automatically when all the packages have been delivered. Partial delivery cannot be combined with automatic POD copies, in the sense that no new order is created, neither for the part of the order that has been delivered nor for the part that has not yet been delivered.

Step 1: Create and set the POD type for partial delivery

To create and set the POD type that is to be registered for partial package delivery, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on Settings > Proof of delivery (POD) > Proof of delivery types.

  2. Click on the proof of delivery type for which the settings are to be configured in the list on the left, or click on the left-hand one of the two to create a new POD type.

  3. Configure the settings for the proof of delivery type on the General tab. More information about the settings is available in Proof of delivery types (window).
    To make this POD type the POD type that is to be registered for partial package delivery, proceed as follows:

    • Partial delivery of packages: Select the checkbox if this POD type is to be registered in the case of a partial package delivery.

  4. Click on to save all changes.

Step 2: Create and set the POD type for instances where all the packages on an order have been delivered

When all the packages on an order have been delivered, the POD type for all the incoming packages is automatically changed to the Delivered POD type (for example).

To create and set the POD type that is to be registered once all the partial package deliveries have been made, proceed as follows:

  1. Click on Settings > Proof of delivery (POD) > Proof of delivery types.

  2. Click on the proof of delivery type for which the settings are to be configured in the list on the left, or click on the left-hand one of the two to create a new POD type.

    Tips!

    This setting is usually applied for the Delivered POD type.

  3. Configure the settings for the proof of delivery type on the General tab. For information about the fields and checkboxes on the General tab, see Proof of delivery types (window).
    To make this POD type the POD type that is to be registered once all the partial package deliveries have been made, proceed as follows:

    • Completed: We recommend selecting the checkbox to indicate that no more proofs of delivery are pending for the order.

    • Create POD of this type when all packages are partially delivered: Select the checkbox if this POD type is to be registered when all the partial package deliveries have been delivered.

      Obs!

      If this checkbox is selected for more than one POD type, it will be random as to which of the POD types is registered.

  4. Click on to save all changes.
