CO2 emissions via EDI
Valid Opter 2024.06.00 and later. Some functional improvements are available if you use Opter 2024.12.00 or later.
In this Price item
CO2 emissions can be imported and exported via EDI. For example, if a subcontractor carries out the shipment, your Opter can obtain the CO2 emissions information by having the subcontractor send the calculated CO2 emissions via EDI. Contact the EDI team at .
For more information on CO2 emissions, see CO2 emissions in grams, overview, Settings for CO2 emission calculations and How Opter calculates CO2 emissions.
CO2 emissions may be recalculated
If you have entered CO2 emissions data in the subcontractor register, and on the price vehicle type, and if you also receive Calculated CO2 emissions data from the subcontractor via EDI, then
-
Opter uses the Calculated CO2 emissions data (for the shipment/order) received via EDI.
-
If you later change something on which the CO2 emissions calculations in Opter are based, such as the distance of the shipment or order, Opter will calculate the CO2 emissions for the shipment/order based on the data in the subcontractor register.
If CO2 emissions data is not available in the subcontractor register, Opter will use the data on the price vehicle type.
The same applies if you choose to recalculate the CO2 emissions of the order (where the shipment is included) in the order check or in the Order reception. For more information, see Recalculate CO2 emissions for orders.
For more information, see How Opter calculates CO2 emissions.
Conditions
In order for Opter to calculate CO2 emissions, you must first make the settings described in Settings for CO2 emission calculations.
Restriction, orders via EDI
There is a limitation in older versions of Opter:
-
In Opter 2024.06.00 to 2024.06.116 inclusive, CO2 emissions are not automatically calculated for orders that come into your Opter via EDI. If you have received an order via EDI, and you want the CO2 emissions of the order to be calculated, follow the instructions in Recalculate CO2 emissions for orders. As of Opter 2024.06.117, there is no such limitation, i.e. CO2 emissions are calculated for orders received via EDI.
-
In Opter 2024.12.00 and later, CO2 emissions are calculated for orders that come into your Opter via EDI. There is no limitation.
