Recalculate CO2 emissions for orders
Valid Opter 2024.06.00 and later. Some functional improvements are available if you use Opter 2024.12.00 or later.
In this Price item
The data on which the CO2 calculations are based are described in How Opter calculates CO2 emissions. If one or more of these details is changed, there may then be one or more orders for which the CO2 emissions need to be recalculated.
For example, if one or more of these details is changed:
-
CO2 emissions (g/km), Fuel and/or Fuel consumption (per 100 km) for a vehicle, vehicle type, price vehicle type and/or subcontractor.
-
Capacity converted into pricing weight (kg) for a vehicle, vehicle type, price vehicle type and/or subcontractor
-
Emission factor on a service or on a price vehicle type under a service.
It may be the case that you do not want to recalculate the CO2 emissions for the order.
For example, if the order was unloaded a week ago, and the price vehicle type's CO2 emissions are changed today. In that case, you may not want to recalculate the CO2 emissions for that order.
More information on CO2 emissions can be found at CO2 emissions in grams, overview.
Conditions
In order for Opter to calculate CO2 emissions, you must first make the settings described in Settings for CO2 emission calculations.
Recalculating CO2 emissions
To recalculate CO2 emissions, do as follows:
-
For one or more orders. (Valid from Opter 2024.12.00. and onwards)
The CO2 emissions of one or more orders can be recalculated in order check. You can recalculate CO2 emissions for orders that are not yet invoiced.
Follow the instructions in Recalculate data on orders in order check and tick the checkbox CO2 emissions in the window Recalculate.
This means that both the estimated and the calculated CO2 emissions will be recalculated for the orders that have been selected in order check.
(The CO2 emissions checkbox is available in Opter as of version 2024.12.00).
-
The CO2 emissions of an order can be recalculated in the Order reception.
The CO2 emissions for the order are recalculated if any of the values affecting the calculation, such as the distance, change. For example, you can press the F3 key twice to switch the sender and receiver of the order ("back and forth"), so that the distance on the order is recalculated. Both the estimated and the calculated CO2 emissions for the order are then recalculated.
