EconomyCurrencies

Here you set the currencies you will use in the system. The currencies are then used, for example, in price lists and customer records. The default currency is set in the control settings. For more information, see Currencies.

Description

Code

Currency code. You can enter any code, but we recommend that you use official currency codes.

Name

The colloquial name for the currency.

Symbol

The symbol of the currency, or currency sign, for example '€'. If the currency has no symbol, enter the currency code again.

The currency symbol is written before the amount

: The currency symbol appears before the amount, £214.

: The currency symbol appears after the amount, €214.

Number of decimals (tax)

"Tax" here refers to VAT (value added tax).

Currency rates

All currencies must have an exchange rate against the system currency, which has been set in the office settings.

Date

The date you set the exchange rate.

Rate

Exchange rate.

Example:

  • The exchange rate "11" from EUR to SEK gives 100 EUR × 11 = 1 100 SEK.

  • The exchange rate "0.090909" from SEK to EUR gives 100 SEK × 0.090909 = 9.10 EUR.
