Applies from Opter version 2026.06.00.
In groups Consignor and Consignee, you must enter the name (company or individual) and address of the seller and the buyer of the goods being transported. Groups Consignor and Consignee are used in conjunction with group Customs information to collate the customs information for the order. Further information on how to handle customs information can be found in Customs information. The fields in group Customs information are described in Customs information (order reception).
The image shows what the groups Consignor and Consignee might look like.
The fields in groups Consignor and Consignee are used solely to store customs information; in other words, these fields do not control prices, distances, zones, routes or route optimisation (unlike the fields in groups Sender and Receiver).
The fields to be displayed can be set by clicking on Settings > Address settings. The fields that are mandatory to complete when registering an order (yellow fields) can also be configured. You can configure the fields for Consignor and Consignee independently of one another. For more information, see Address settings (window).
If the groups Consignor and Consignee are not displayed, or if you would like them to appear in a different place in the order reception area, you can configure this. For more information, see Organising the groups in Order reception.
