Setting which shipments are displayed on the supplier web
The main page of the supplier web displays a list of the supplier’s ongoing shipments. Only shipments assigned to vehicles or drivers linked to the supplier logged into the supplier web are displayed. Suppliers cannot, therefore, see shipments assigned to resources that are not linked to that supplier in any of the registries.
You can control which shipments are displayed on the main page and in the search results on the search page. This can be useful if, for example, you only want suppliers to see what is credited to them. Proceed as follows:
Click on Register > Employees and check that all the drivers are linked to the correct supplier in the Supplier field on the General tab.
- Click on Register > Vehicles and check that the vehicles are linked to the correct supplier in the Supplier field on the General tab.
- Click on Settings > Internet > Internet order settings and select Suppliers from the list on the right (or the internet order setting selected for the supplier).
Go to the Menu alternatives and functions tab and select one, or both, of the Show summary for vehicle (only supplier web) and Show summary for driver (only supplier web) checkboxes, depending on what you want to display on the supplier web.
Show summary for vehicle (only supplier web): shipments that have been assigned to vehicles linked to the supplier are displayed.
Show summary for driver (only supplier web): Shipments that have been assigned to drivers linked to the supplier are displayed.
Obs!
If you select both Show summary for vehicle (only supplier web) and Show summary for driver (only supplier web), all shipments linked to the supplier will be displayed in either the Employees or Vehicles registry. If the primary and secondary resources on a shipment are linked to different suppliers, the shipment is displayed on both of their supplier webs.
If you want suppliers to see the shipments that are credited to them alone, only select the (Show summary for vehicle (only supplier web) or Show summary for driver (only supplier web)) option that matches the primary resource in the office settings.
Click on to save all changes.
The Resource column of the supplier web displays the resource type set as the primary resource in the Credit to field in the office settings (Employee or Vehicles), but the shipments displayed are controlled by the internet order setting. This means that if you credit to employees and select Show summary for vehicle (only supplier web), the supplier will see the names of those who drive the vehicles, and vice versa.
The Show summary for vehicle (only supplier web) and Show summary for driver (only supplier web) checkboxes also control whether the Vehicles and Drivers menu options are displayed in the side menu of the supplier web.
Example
Configuration
- You credit to vehicles.
- Four shipments have been assigned to vehicle 1, which is linked to supplier A.
- Two of the shipments are carried out by driver X, who is associated with supplier A.
- The other two shipments are carried out by driver Y, who is associated with supplier B.
Result
- Only Show summary for vehicle (only supplier web) is selected in the internet order settings:
- Supplier A sees four shipments on the supplier web because vehicle 1 is linked to driver A.
- Driver B does not see any shipments on the supplier web because no vehicle is linked to supplier B.
- Only Show summary for driver (only supplier web) is selected in the internet order settings:
- Supplier A sees two shipments because driver X is linked to supplier A.
- Supplier B sees two shipments because driver Y is linked to supplier B.
- Both Show summary for vehicle (only supplier web) and Show summary for driver (only supplier web) are selected in the internet order settings:
- Supplier A sees four shipments on the supplier web because vehicle 1 is linked to driver A.
- Supplier B sees two shipments on the supplier web because driver Y is linked to supplier B.
This table shows what can be seen on the supplier web for different combinations of settings.
