Create statistical report on CO2 emissions in tonnes

You can create a statistical report that shows the fuels used and the estimated CO2 emissions caused by transport in a given period. It is possible to choose to create the report for a specific region or for all regions and for a specific customer or for all customers.

The statistical report (also called the environmental report) contains the following tables:

All three tables can be exported to Excel.

For more information on the climate impact and the calculations on which the statistical report is based, see Climate impact of CO2 emissions in tonnes.

Conditions

To obtain a complete statistical report, follow the instructions in Climate impact of CO2 emissions in tonnes first.

Creating a statistical report on CO2 emissions and the use of fuel

  1. Click on Analysis > Statistics. Open Overview by clicking on .

  2. Click on CO2 emissions.

  3. Select Supplier bill period to the right of the window.

The date period is based on the order date on the shipment’s order. Sometimes shipments are delivered the day after the order date, but the order date is primarily useful if you want to do a comparison with other statistics.

  4. To obtain the statistical report for a specific customer, enter Customer code on the right of the window.

To obtain the statistical report for all customers, leave the Customer code field empty.

  5. Select Region to the right of the window. You can choose whether to obtain the statistical report for a specific region or for all regions.

  6. Select Time scale to the right of the window. You can choose whether dates are to be grouped by day, week or month.

  7. Click on Ok to create the statistical report.

    Tips!

The following columns are displayed in the statistical report:

    • The Distance (km) column shows the shipment’s distance in km. If there is no distance on the shipment, the order’s distance in km multiplied by the shipment’s splitting factor is used.

    • The CO2e (tonnes) column shows the total amount of carbon dioxide emissions in tonnes.

    • The Shipments without consumption column shows the number of shipments for which the level of fuel consumption is not known.

In order to obtain reliable statistics, you should try to ensure that there are no shipments that do not have emissions data. For instructions regarding how to enter emissions data, seeClimate impact of CO2 emissions in tonnes.

The statistical report is based on templates. To ensure it is as accurate as possible, you need to find out your actual emissions, for example by adding up all the refuelling that has taken place over a period of time. Then try out different factors on services until the sum in the statistics matches the reality and the allocation between different shipments is reasonable.

    • The Emission factor column shows the CO2 emission factor in percent. For more information, see Climate impact of CO2 emissions in tonnes.

    • The column Consignment order no. shows which original orders are included in co-loads. The fuel consumption of co-loading missions is split between the original missions in the CO2 statistics.

  8. The statistical report also includes the basic data on which it is based. If you want to work further with the data, you can export it to an Excel file by clicking on .
