Cancel shipments and reject orders – Opter Link

Sometimes you may need to cancel a shipment you have sent via Opter Link, or reject an order you have received.

If you wish to cancel a shipment that you have sent, change its status to Created. You can do this in one of the following ways:

  • Mark the shipment in the dispatch system. Drag and drop the shipment into the list Created.

  • Mark the shipment in the dispatch system. Right-click and select Set status from the context menu, then change the status to Created.

The order is assigned the status Created and added to the list Created.

Information regarding the cancellation of the shipment to the subcontractor

It is possible to extend the Opter Link integration with a feature that ensures a cancelled shipment is automatically trashed at the partner’s end. If the partner has default settings for dispatch, the order is moved to list Cancelled on the tab All information.

The service is ordered by the EDI department at . The EDI team needs a description of how you want it to work and approval from both parties. Details of the cost of EDI services can be found in your contract with Opter.

If you have received an order that you do not intend to fulfil, you must trash it. You can do that at the dispatch centre or the order reception desk.

When you trash an order, the status Rejected is sent to the client. At the client’s end, the shipment is assigned status Rejected or Created, depending on the client’s status workflow.

It is important that you trash any orders you do not intend to fulfil so that your partner is notified via Opter Link. If the order or shipment is only given the Rejected status, the partner will not be notified.

Cancelling a shipment in dispatch

Right-click on the shipment and select Trash from the context menu. Confirm that the shipment should be cancelled by answering Yes to the question that is displayed.

Cancelling an order in order reception

Open the order and click Delete in the Start menu. Please confirm that you wish to trash the order by selecting Yes in response to the question displayed.
