Smart locks

If drivers need to be able to manage smart locks in Opter Driver, you must have an EDI connection that downloads information from the locking system to the order in Opter. Contact for more information. The locks can be handled both at pick-up and delivery. The only thing that needs to be done, apart from the EDI connection, is for the driver to click on Unlock {0} in Opter Driver. No other settings are needed.

The flow

1. When an order receives the status Assigned in Opter, a request is sent via EDI to the locking system.

   All orders in Opter are checked. The address information on those orders is sent to the external system.

2. The locking system checks if there is a lock at any of the addresses on the order and, if so, returns a key to Opter that can be used to manage the lock for a limited time.

3. When the driver changes the status to Picked up or Delivered at an address that has a smart lock, Unlock {0} is displayed in the Opter Driver. When the driver taps Unlock {0}, the smart lock app opens and the driver can manage the lock.

4. The key expires when the time runs out and can no longer be used.
