Create an Opter Link connection

Last updated: 9 April 2026

If you have a business partner who also uses Opter, you can connect your systems using Opter Link, which offers the following convenient features, amongst others:

  • Send shipments to each other by assigning them to the relevant subcontractor in the dispatch centre. (Technically speaking, you send shipments to each other, but a new order is created on the recipient’s end.)

  • Confirmation that the subcontractor has received the shipment/order.

  • When the subcontractor changes the status to Korjatud or Kohale toimetatud, the shipment will also be updated to the new status in your system.

  • Proofs of delivery are automatically transferred between Opter systems.

By default, the following data is exchanged between Opter systems:

  • Confirmation of the shipment/order, i.e. that the shipment/order is Loodud and Vastu võetud with the subcontractor. All shipments sent via Opter Link are accepted automatically.

If the subcontractor has selected Kinnitage EDI tellimused tellimuse lehel in the office settings (the Internet tab), they must open and save the order in the order reception system for it to be given the status Vastu võetud. Only then will you see that it has been accepted into your system.

  • The statuses Korjatud and Kohale toimetatud at the shipment level.

  • Pod, including signature and image, for types Kohale toimetatud, Uus aadress and Kedagi pole kodus.

In addition to the standard settings for Opter Link, the following data can be sent between the systems:

  • Package scans, such as arrival and departure scans at terminals.

  • Freight bill scans.

  • Resource prices.

  • Deviations, such as damage during transport.

  • Changes to orders and shipments, such as addresses and loading and unloading times.

  • Cancellation of shipments. For more information, see Cancel shipments and reject orders – Opter Link.

  • Credits, option for check external credits. For more information, seeChecking external credits

If you and your partner would like to add any of the above features, you can order this from the EDI department at . The EDI team will need a description of how you want it to work and approval from both parties. For information about the cost of EDI work, see your agreement with Opter.

You can see which Opter Link partnerships you have in the Opteri link panel on the right-hand side of the dispatch section (click on Partnerlussuhted), or in the panel Alltöövõtjad. Opter Link partnerships are marked with .

If your partner does not have Opter, the systems can be linked via an EDI connection. Contact for more information. The EDI team will need a description of how you want it to work and approval from both parties. For information about the cost of EDI work, see your agreement with Opter.

Create a new Opter Link connection

  1. Both parties must add the partner to both the customer register and the subcontractor register.

  2. Both parties must make the company visible in Opter Link. Open the dispatch panel and go to the Opter link panel on the right, click on Settings and select Should your company be searchable in Opter Link.

If you cannot see the Opter link panel, click on the Vaade menu tab and then on Opter link.

  3. One of the parties then makes a request for a partnership. Click Uus partnerlus on the panel Opter link. Select your partner from the Partner drop-down list.

  4. Enter the partner's customer code in the field Klient.

  5. Select the partner from the drop-down menu Alltöövõtja.

  6. Click on Salvesta to send the enquiry to the partner.

When you receive a request for a new partnership, the Opter link panel in dispatch turns red. You accept the request by clicking on Nõustu on the panel.

Remove an Opter Link connection
